With Addison, behavior doesn’t change if I always say “no no.” Sometimes I have to just distract or ignore and she will forget or get bored and move on. But this newest ‘behavior’ has been interesting to say the least…
Lately she has wanted to start putting things up her noes. This is a pretty normal behavior, they are curious what is up there and what fits up there. First it was her finger…I ignored it, and it stopped. Next it was Cheerios, this I found a little more disturbing, but she never actually got one up there, just tried. I watched but tried to discourage it by talking or doing something else. Now Monday night she jammed a Cheerio so far up there that I had to use a tweezers to get it out. It was a horrible process, her crying…me pinning her down and pretending I was Meredith Grey preforming a new surgery…but I got that soggy thing out…yuck…
The end result is every time she even thinks about putting something up there I say “You want me to get the tweezers?” And that is the end of that!
