I started the morning with Addison sitting on the potty trying to poop. After 20 mins we both gave up, on the way to her room to grab a diaper she proceeded to poop on me, the rocking chair, and the floor. After 30 mins of cleaning I can still see the stain…
Later in the afternoon I decided to make banana bread with Addison for something fun to do together. It was a long process, which banana bread shouldn’t be, but in the end we had a beautiful loaf ready for the oven. I popped it in, and set the timer for 55mins. Not long after I got a call from my dad about meeting for dinner. I told him I had put bread in, but maybe in an hour or so I could meet. We agreed on a time and I started getting Addison ready for dinner. When Abe got home I checked the timer, 5 mins. Perfect I thought, as we are ready to walk out the door Ill pull it out.
After a wonderful dinner out with my family we headed home. When Abe opened the door his first words were, “Why is the oven on?”
My heart sank. I had not only forgot to turn the oven off, but I hadn’t pulled the bread out! So instead of the bread cooking for 55 mins it was closer 2hrs and 15mins!! I could have cared less about the burnt banana bread, I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to avoid some crazy house/kitchen fire! Here is the final result of my unlucky and forgotten about banana bread…

After I dumped the bread I started getting ready for bible study. It was canceled 5 mins before we were supposed to leave. So I stopped getting ready, about a half hour later Abe reminded me my straightener was still on. Awesome…more things I left on that could burn my house down.
Lucky for me my husband redeemed my entire day by taking me out for a coffee date in lue of bible study.
