We recently found a major fixer-upper house that we, are hoping to purchase with my parents in order to fix up, live in, and eventually flip. The house is a mess…a hot mess, but has potential to be really nice with a few months of work. We are days away from finding out if our counteroffer has been excepted. Abe called our realtor and asked if we could set up a time to walk through it again. He told us that the people have moved out, and if there is a way to get in, then we can go whenever we want and it shouldn’t be a problem as long as we are just looking.
So Sunday my Dad, my brother Dan, Abe, Myself and the girls decided to go over there and have a look around. Well we got to the back slider and there was a wood block in the door. We could slide it open about a foot or so. My brother tried to squeeze in, then Abe tried to squeeze in, but both were unsuccessful. We stood there for a minute and then Dan grab Addison and said, “Lets put her through to grab the block.”
“No way” I said.
“She’ll be fine” Dan said.
Next thing I know he is stuffing her through the crack in the slider door and directing her to, “pick up the block and bring it to Uncle Dan.” And in less than 10 second she was handing him the block we were cheering for her.
As we were breaking into the house, it crossed my mind that we might be sending our daughter the wrong message about breaking and entering ;)
